With the recent announcement of a national lockdown in the UK by Boris Johnson, schools have returned to remote learning for the majority of students, at least up until the middle of February.
At Stairway, we want to do everything we can to make this period as stress-free for students, parents and teachers.
We've spent the past year building an online learning experience which is interactive, effective and enjoyable for students to learn remotely. We have over 500 free lessons covering a range of STEM concepts, aligned with the UK curriculum. We've been featured by Apple as App of the Day, and on BBC Bitesize.
Here are some ways we might be able to help during this time:
Stairway was created by students, for students! We've created 500+ interactive lessons you can work through at your own pace, on your laptop or phone, with dynamic feedback for the times when you just can't understand why you got a question wrong
Struggle to stay motivated? You can connect with friends and compete on our leaderboard, or take part in our New Year Challenge, where you can unlock a limited edition avatar by completing 31 lessons in January to build a learning habit this year!
“Already better than any app or website I’ve tried before and totally telling my teachers and peers about it!” - GCSE student
Homeschooling can be difficult, especially if you're working remotely yourself at the same time. Help your child(ren) stay ahead while schools are closed by creating a Stairway account! We find most students make rapid progress once they've signed up
My Son who is studying IGCSE for Maths and Physics is really enjoying the platform. He finds it fun and it teaches him things that he doesn't already know but it makes him understand the concepts better. - UK-based parent
We created Stairway for Schools specifically to help teachers with remote learning. Create a classroom in minutes, and set any lesson from across the Stairway content library. When your students start to complete lessons, you'll see relevant information within the Stairway dashboard, such as who has completed it, how long it took, and where they are struggling.
"I was really impressed with the site" - UK Maths Teacher
