Distance Learning: How to make the most out of studying from home

revision Mar 19, 2020

With the recent announcements that schools in the UK and around the world will be closing for the foreseeable future due to coronavirus, many students will be finding themselves learning from home, perhaps for the first time. Here are some helpful tips on how to make the most out of the time:

Maintain a healthy routine

The typical school day is very structured, and it might be a bit of a shock to suddenly have more flexibility on how you spend your time throughout the day. Sticking to a regular time to get up and have the main meals of the day is the best way to ensure you're keeping positive and productive during this time. 💪

Make learning a daily habit

Learning is most effective when you don't cram it all at once, but you tackle topics regularly and in small chunks. Create a plan and stick to it! It is the best way to make sure you learn something new every day.

Get rid of distractions

Make sure you have a good working environment without any distractions, which is essential for productivity While learning, put your phone away, and focus for a duration of time, before taking a break. Apps like Flipd can help you to remain focused during study sessions.
